Belonging YogaLiving is a community ashram. It is enabling supported spiritual practice for those individuals who are looking for a closer and more focused involvement in their spiritual life, whilst remaining engaged with ordinary everyday responsibilities. YogaLiving is offering membership of the ashram for people who sincerely wish to develop their practice.
Being a Friend Joining as a Friend of YogaLiving will enable you to:
Support and community On becoming a Friend you will receive a joining pack that explains how membership can be understood and applied. A wide range of opportunities are available for you to access and action at the pace and level you choose. YogaLiving provides the teacher, a specialist teaching, a community of practitioners, advice and guidance and access to ongoing support. In this manner Friends of the ashram have the real ability to belong to a genuine yoga community of like-minded people and to progress supported practice alongside the routines of ordinary independent life. Actually making use of those opportunities is left to the individual to initiate. This is deliberate in the recognition that the yoga journey can only be embraced and implemented by those who choose to take it up and choose to act upon it. Making a commitment The criteria for membership are simple. Friends need to be:
Support through service To assist the ashram’s aims and to enable the expansion of support and teaching, Friends are asked to make an annual gift to the level they feel motivated to offer. The minimum suggested is £30. For those in genuine hardship no financial donation is required. All the efforts, endeavours and resources of YogaLiving are given freely by its members. All income including the donations of Friends is protected and dedicated to the ashram fund which exclusively supports community ashram development and the further dissemination of the teaching of Atma Vichara. Should you wish to become a Friend please complete the contact us form and tell us.
