Living the beauty of Atma Vichara
Through the teachings of Sri Ramana Maharshi
YogaLiving is a spiritual community focused on the practice of Atma Vichara within ordinary life. Atma Vichara means self-enquiry and is an ancient and profound approach to self-realisation. Retreats and Teachings are provided.
What am i looking for and what is there to find?
Some people are powerfully searching for meaning
They seek completeness through spiritual exploration
Yoga and other traditions speak of self realisation, enlightenment and awakening
This is attractive It implies the discovery of a whole new state for me to attain
Through spiritual practices people strive for this assumed new state
It is not found in any enduring way and this leads to frustration and pain
For some this ends in abandonment
For others it drives further investigation towards maturity of discrimination
For in this life there is not a new state to find
There is an old state to lose
That which then prevails is freedom
Freedom comes from giving something up
That which is given up is the feeling and confinement of being a person
In the absence of that there remains the vastness of the self
Openness
Effortless existence
